Bnei Akiva of the US and Canada is deeply saddened by the kidnapping and brutal murder of innocent teenagers Gilad Shaar, Naftali Frenkel and Eyal Yifrach. Our prayers are with the families and all of Israel.

As you may be aware, a leader of World Bnei Akiva in Israel has reacted to this tragedy with inflammatory comments. These comments were his own and do not represent the broader movement of Bnei Akiva. Bnei Akiva of the US and Canada unequivocally condemns any acts of vigilantism.

Bnei Akiva of the US and Canada is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to working with youth and their families to build a peaceful world through Jewish values. We encourage aliyah, love of the Jewish people, and love of Israel through year round informal education programs in 25 cities, 7 Moshava summer camps, our Mach Hach summer experience in Israel, and Yeshivat and Midreshet Torah V'Avodah, our gap year study programs in Israel.

We pray for peace in Israel. May the coming days bring comfort to the families and to Am Israel.
