Celebrate Recovery from hurts, hang-ups and habits

Celebrate Recovery's focus is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through Eight Recovery Principles and Christ-Centered Twelve Steps. Monday evening large group time and small group sharing time are open to any one at any time and there are no sign-ups to participate. There will be no mid-week Youth Groups the 1st two weeks of September.

Our weekly Refuge gathering for high school youth will launch September 15 (7 - 9 p.m.); our weekly Revolution gathering for middle school youth will launch September 16 (7 - 8:30 p.m.). For more info, contact:

Starting Thursday, September 16, Celebrate Recovery will be starting a weekly in-depth Bible Study called Step Study which takes us deeper into the recovery process through the eight principles and twelve steps. Living in the Blessing Series Begins

Our entire church body begins a new series for the Fall called Living in the Blessing. Life cut off from being blessed is essentially cut off from the very source of life. Blessing is what we most deeply long for... and seek in many ways that never find it. It is this life-giving blessing that Jesus fulfilled as he bore our judgment and which becomes available to us through his blessed life. This blessing becomes what unites us, involves us, flows in grace, is empowered by the heavenly work of the Spirit, and out of which we bless others. Come learn and experience how God wishes to bless you... and empower you to be a blessing to others.

Home Church Fall Launch

Personal transformation and practical ministry are made most accessible through the depth of relationship available through regular small group gatherings in homes of other believers across the Westside.

We will launch Home Churches the week of September 19. These Home Churches will meet for the Fall season (through mid-December). The focus of each Home Church and their locations will be provided Sunday 9/12 and Sunday 9/19; come prepared to sign up for the Home Church which will serve you best!

Hearts 4 Kids Foster & Adoption Ministry

Adoption Attorney Ted Youmans will speak regarding the "Spirit of Adoption." Ted has been working in the field of Adoptions, Guardianships and Family Building for the past 23 years. He truly has the heart for adoption and family building and is also living it out in the framework of his family. Come see how you can be part of the bigger picture of adoption and family building. Ongoing need: If you have a heart for children, our Westside Vineyard families with foster children need your support. Our foster parents are legally bound by the system to only leave their children with sitters who have been fingerprinted and cleared through an agency called LiveScan. Our goal is to have a pool of people who would be willing to complete the LiveScan application. If you would be willing to bless our foster families in this way, please contact Diana at dnile812@yahoo.com

All Youth Craziness!

It's a combined youth (middle and high school) event designed to be a great opportunity for youth to bring their friends! Including DJs, cool tournaments, a grilled cheese feast... and a free Apple iPod Touch to the person who brings the most new friends ('new' meaning youth who haven't attended a Vineyard Youth event before)!

Getting Planted

If you are relatively new to the Westside Vineyard and would like to explore membership and learn more about who we are, why we exist and how we do life together as a church, this class is for you! Getting Planted will meet all four Wednesdays in October and dinner is provided! Look for registration in upcoming weeks.

All middle school and high school parents are invited to gather for this special time with pastors Willie, Jen, and Joel. This open-house-like gathering will include Q & A, updates, resources and prayer for our youth... oh... and dessert!

Couples Cafe Presents: An Evening of Laughter for Marriage

Kerri Pomarolli & Ron McGehee are professional speakers who have been seen on Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, over 25 times on The Tonight Show, ABC, NBC, TBNs comedy show "Bananas", CBN and many more. They also just shot their own TV show pilot called "Newlywed Fix It."

They bring professionalism from their Hollywood background working in today's top comedy venues along with a passion for God! You'll discover what happens when a Korean Irish Comic marries a Southern Belle Italian Comic who was secretly praying to marry an "Investment Banker" so she could "Submit to Not Going to work!" This is laughter for the heart of marriage! Look for more information regarding this evening of fun as well as the childcare which will be provided.
