New
York educators report increased student engagement and academic success
with Time To Know
Managing
classroom behavior is often challenging for teachers. Integrating
technology into the classroom can dramatically heighten student
engagement, decrease behavior problems, and improve overall academic
success.
"Time To Know is definitely enhancing learning in our classrooms," says
principal Dr. Stephen Appea of PS 327. "Students are often reading and
typing intently, attendance is better, and there are less class
disruptions."

Ann
Darby, Davis Intermediate School Teacher of the Year, sees big gains
for her students using Time To Know
After
securing the technology needed for a digital classroom through a
combination of school-supplied netbooks and student-owned devices,
Darby is now using Time To Know with her fifth grade math students.
"I took a leap of faith by jumping into technology, and as a result
transformed the learning in my classroom for both me and my students,"
says Darby. "The level of engagement I witnessed each day, in addition
to the growth...surprised me."

STEM
or STEAM? Are the arts missing? |
 |
21st century skills--including STEM literacy--are increasingly the
currency for successful participation in modern society and the
workplace. Students in the United States, however, are lagging behind
their international peers in math and science. Parents, teachers,
policy makers, and employers alike want to see changes in STEM
education.
Do you want the Time To Know STEM "T" & "M" in your class or
district? Consider funding Time To Know with one of a number of private
grant opportunities focused on STEM.
